Throughout its editions, the project has established itself as a national reference for valuing choro, free musical training and integration between professional musicians, students and the community. The proposal for the eighth edition will be to offer an intensive experience focused on melodic and choro-based instruments, with five days of activities focused on musical practice, interpretation and repertoire of the genre. "Semana Seu Geraldo is much more than a festival. It is a space for meeting, learning and valuing Brazilian music. With each edition, Leme welcomes musicians from different places, strengthening the culture of choro and moving the entire artistic scene in the region", highlighted Francisco Cardozo, producer of the event. Semana Seu Geraldo de Música reaches its 8th edition in Leme (SP) Alex Tey/Disclosure Between 2011 and 2016, Semana Seu Geraldo held six editions, becoming one of the main pedagogical festivals of Brazilian music in the country. Throughout this period, more than a thousand students participated in the workshops free of charge, bringing together amateur musicians, students and professionals from different regions of Brazil and abroad. The project also left an important legacy in the cultural formation of the city with initiatives such as the Choro na Escola Project, which took musical instrument classes to children in the Leme public school system. After the return of the event in 2025, the Seu Geraldo Music Week has been gaining momentum and reinforces the commitment to keeping the choro tradition alive, encouraging musical training and expanding access to Brazilian popular culture.
