Rock in Rio 2026: dates, shows, how to get there and what you can bring

Less than a month left until Rock in Rio It's not long before the start of Rock in Rio 2026. The City of Rock opens its gates on the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 11th, 12th and 13th of September, at the Olympic Park, in the Southwest Zone of Rio. This year's edition will have names like Foo Fighters, Avenged Sevenfold, Calvin Harris, Elton John, Stray Kids, Maroon 5 and Twenty One Pilots as the main attractions on the Stage World. For those going to the festival, there are a series of important details to resolve before leaving home: the ticket must be activated in the Quentro app, there is a special BRT and subway operation and the organization has defined rules regarding food, bottles, backpacks and other objects that can enter the Rock City. The festival takes place over two weekends, in seven days, and there are still tickets for five of them (see show times): September 4th (Friday) September 5th (Saturday) September 6th (Sunday) — sold out September 7th (Monday) September 11th (Friday) September 12th (Saturday) — sold out September 13th (Sunday) How to get to Rock in Rio? Rock in Rio's express BRT will be paid for by Jaé. Cidade do Rock is located in the Olympic Park, in Barra da Tijuca. A special transport operation will be set up during the seven days of the festival, with BRT Expresso Rock in Rio, subway and executive buses of the First Class service. BRT Expresso Rock in Rio: The special BRT ticket costs R$29 and includes round trip. The purchase is made exclusively through the Jaé app, using the balance in the Transport Account, which can be charged via Pix or credit card. Each person can buy up to ten tickets per day of the festival. There will be three special lines: SE008: Jardim Oceânico Terminal ? Centro Olímpico Terminal, without stops; SE009: Terminal Alvorada ? Morro do Outeiro Station, without stops; SE010: Paulo da Portela Terminal ? Morro do Outeiro Station, with stops at Praça Seca, Tanque and Taquara. Will there be a locker? Yes. Cidade do Rock will have lockers of different sizes to store belongings during the festival.
