Meanwhile, an atmospheric blockage keeps the weather firm and dry in much of the Southeast and Central-West, and instability remains concentrated in areas of the North and Northeast of the country.

Check the weather forecast region by region:

South

This Thursday, there is a significant change in weather conditions in areas of Rio Grande do Sul, marking the beginning of a period of instability in the state.

The weather remains firm in most of the region, with a predominance of sun among few clouds, but the strengthening of the Low Level Jet, which transports hot and humid air from the North to the South of Brazil, associated with the approach of a trough and the advance of a cold front, favors the formation of thunderstorms in Rio Grande do Sul.

There is a risk of heavy rain, gusts of wind that can exceed 90 km/h, hail and severe storms between the Campaign, West, Southwest, Center and South of the state, from late morning until the end of the day.

The situation is dangerous for high accumulations of rain in the extreme southwest, in part of Campanha and on the south coast of the state. The occurrence of microexplosions and tornadoes cannot be ruled out, especially in areas affected by the most intense storms.

Before the arrival of instability, the north wind favors a sharp rise in temperatures, with maximum temperatures close to 30°C in part of the state, reinforced by the Low Level Jet, which intensifies the transport of hot and humid air towards the region.

In Santa Catarina and Paraná, the weather remains firm and temperatures also increase, especially in the west of the states.

Southeast

In the Southeast, the action of an atmospheric blockade over the Atlantic Ocean, near the region's coast, keeps the weather steady in the four states.

The sun predominates among few clouds and there is no significant rain forecast. Only in some points on the coast of Espírito Santo and the extreme northeast of Minas Gerais there may be light and isolated rain, in addition to moderate precipitation on the north coast of Espírito Santo.

Temperatures rise in the afternoon, favoring a large temperature range. On the coast, south and east of São Paulo, much of Rio de Janeiro, south and central-east of Minas Gerais and south of Espírito Santo, the day remains more pleasant.

Relative air humidity decreases in the north and northeast of São Paulo, the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo, Triângulo Mineiro, west, north, northwest and part of the south of Minas Gerais, with rates between 20% and 30% in the hottest hours of the day, reaching values between 12% and 20% in the extreme north of Minas Gerais.

The winds also gain intensity in part of the São Paulo coast due to the strengthening of atmospheric circulation. In the Lagos Region, in Rio de Janeiro, gusts can reach 70 km/h.

The sea remains rough in areas of the coastal strip.

Midwest

In the Central-West, the weather also remains firm in Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás and the Federal District, with a predominance of sun and no rain.

In Mato Grosso, Amazonian humidity and daytime heating favor isolated showers between the afternoon and night in the north, northwest and west of the state, with rain of moderate to heavy intensity, in addition to the northwest of Goiás, on the border with Tocantins.

In other areas, the weather remains dry, with high temperatures in the afternoon and low relative humidity, especially in the center-south and east of Goiás, the Federal District and east of Mato Grosso do Sul, with rates between 20% and 30%.

In cities further east of Goiás, including Brasília, the arrival of milder winds should make the day a little more pleasant compared to the rest of the central region of the country.

Wind gusts can reach 70 km/h in the south and southwest of Mato Grosso do Sul.

Northeast

In the Northeast, maritime circulation maintains unstable weather in the eastern part of the region.

Rain is forecast between the coastal strip of Alagoas, Pernambuco, Paraíba and Rio Grande do Norte, which may occur moderately to heavily at times, with a risk of storms between the coast of Paraíba, Pernambuco and Alagoas.

There is also a chance of heavy rainfall in the eastern and coastal areas of Pernambuco, including the capital, Recife.

Between southern Bahia and the Salvador region, instability also increases throughout the day, with heavier rain forecast.

In the west and north of Maranhão, Piauí and Ceará there is also rain forecast.

In the interior of the region, firm weather predominates, with sun between few clouds and low levels of relative humidity during the afternoon in the center-west of Bahia and the interior of Piauí, mainly in areas of the southwest and interior of Bahia, where values can be between 12% and 20%.

Wind gusts vary between 40 and 50 km/h in much of the region and can reach 70 km/h in the north of Bahia and west of Pernambuco.

The sea remains rough on the east coast of the region.

North

In the North, the heat and high availability of humidity continue to favor rain showers in a large part of the region.

Rain is forecast between Amazonas, Pará, west and south of Roraima, north of Rondônia and south and east of Amapá, with the possibility of thunderstorms.

In these areas, instabilities occur with moderate to strong intensity, in addition to the extreme north and southwest of Tocantins, on the border with Goiás.

In other areas of Rondônia, in Acre and in the extreme west of Amazonas, rains occur less frequently.

In the rest of Tocantins and in the northwest of Pará, the weather remains more stable, with a predominance of sun, but the occurrence of isolated and lower intensity rain at times cannot be ruled out.

Temperatures rise in the afternoon and the weather remains muggy.
