Rede Amazônica defines coverage of candidates for the Government and Senate in the 2026 elections

Coverage of the campaigns for the Government of Amazonas begins on August 26th, with the publication of the candidates' agendas in the newspapers Bom Dia Amazonas and Jornal do Amazonas 1st Edition. On the same date, the broadcaster begins monitoring the day-to-day activities of the campaigns, with reports lasting one minute and 25 seconds of interviews for each candidate. The distribution of daily coverage will follow the position of the candidates in the most recent Quaest survey released by Rede Amazônica. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays the two best placed candidates will be monitored; on Tuesdays and Thursdays, third and fourth placed; and on Saturdays, the other candidates. Interviews for the Government Between September 14th and 18th, Jornal Amazonas 1st Edition will carry out live interviews with the five candidates for the Government who are in the top five positions of the first Quaest survey released by the broadcaster and who have at least 5% of voting intentions. Each candidate will have 30 minutes to present proposals, government programs and discuss current issues. The order was defined by draw during the meeting this Thursday (20): 14/09: third place; 15/09: first place; 16/09: second place; 17/09: fourth place; 18/09: fifth place. At CBN Amazônia Manaus, live interviews with the five candidates who meet the research criteria will be held between September 21st and 25th, also lasting 30 minutes. Each candidate will have 25 minutes, with a one-minute grace period to complete the last answer. The order defined by draw will be: 08/31: third place; 1st/09: fourth place; 2/09: second place; 3/09: fifth place; 4/09: first place. At CBN Amazônia Manaus, the interview round will take place between September 7th and 11th, following the same participation criteria. Candidates who are not in the top five or do not reach 5% of voting intentions will participate in two-minute compensatory reports. On television, the broadcast is scheduled for September 7th, on Bom Dia Amazonas. On CBN, it will be on September 12th.
