Firefighters cut the high voltage cables from the poles around the perimeter of the scene. The Santa Catarina Power Plants (Celesc) were also called. Rescuers also searched for victims who could have been ejected from the vehicles, but only the truck's transport residue, a type of oil or detergent, was found.
