Bill proposes creation of 'Legendary Day' in Manaus

The proposal was authored by councilor Gilmar Nascimento (Avante) and provides for the inclusion of the date in the municipality's Official Calendar of Events. Bill No. 642/2026 was presented this month and awaits analysis by councilors in plenary, according to the CMM's Legislative Process Support System (SAPL). According to the text, the date would aim to recognize the community, spiritual and social actions promoted by the Legendários movement, in addition to encouraging personal development, responsible fatherhood and the strengthening of family bonds. ? According to the document, the initiative aims to promote personal and spiritual transformations among men, focusing on family and social values. Still according to the justification, the movement arrived in Brazil in 2017 and later expanded to Amazonas and Manaus. The councilor states that more than 1,000 men from the capital have already participated in the immersive journey called Track Outdoor Potential (TOP). The experience is described in the project as an activity that brings together physical challenges, mental overcoming and spiritual reflection in contact with nature. According to the text, participants are encouraged to reflect on their relationships with family, work and the community. The justification also mentions voluntary actions, collecting supplies and ecological preservation activities carried out by participants after the immersions. The document also mentions that the Manaus Chamber itself held a solemn meeting on June 24, 2025 to honor the Legendaries and recognize the movement's role in Amazonian society. The proposal also mentions laws approved in other places that recognized the movement, including standards in the states of São Paulo and Mato Grosso do Sul and the municipalities of Belo Horizonte and Ipatinga. If approved and subsequently sanctioned, the project determines that the law will come into force on the date of its publication.
