Read the full note from PM-AL The Military Police of Alagoas has already adopted all appropriate measures in the case involving a military police officer allegedly using an illicit substance and improper use of a firearm. As soon as it became aware of the facts, the General Command ordered the Corporation's General Inspectorate to apply the Disciplinary Regulations to investigate the conduct of the person involved. The soldier has already been administratively detained, as provided for in the PM-AL disciplinary regulations, and will be responsible for the acts carried out under legal terms. The Military Police does not condone any misconduct on the part of its members and reiterates that the institution is governed by rules and regulations that value legality, respect and irreproachable conduct, both in the exercise of its function and outside of service. We highlight that, during the investigation, the military personnel involved will be assured of adversarial proceedings and full defense, in accordance with the rights and guarantees provided for in the Federal Constitution and current legislation. Therefore, PM-AL will not anticipate conclusions, responsibilities or possible sanctions before the completion of the applicable procedures.
