Eduardo Bolsonaro has lived in the United States since February 2025 and began to define himself as a political exile. Due to the accumulation of unjustified absences, his mandate as federal deputy was revoked in December last year.

Without a mandate, Eduardo should return to his position as PF clerk in Rio de Janeiro, which he entered through a public examination in 2010. As he did not return to duty, a PAD was opened to analyze the case in February of this year. Since then, the former deputy has been removed from office.

During the process, the PF Internal Affairs Department in Rio ordered him to hand over his functional license and firearm.

Eduardo was sentenced by the Federal Supreme Court (STF) to four years and two months in prison for coercion, due to his actions in the USA to intimidate the Judiciary and prevent the analysis of the coup attempt.
