Petrolina opens registrations for the 2nd edition of the Photography Competition

The theme of the photography competition pays homage to the artist Celestino Gomes. Disclosure/ PMP Registration is now open for the second edition of the Petrolina Photo Contest. This year, the theme is "Your Heaven Celestino", a tribute to the visual artist from Petrolina Celestino Gomes. Professional and amateur photographers can participate. Each competitor can send up to two photos, but only one will be classified. Around 60% of the prize will be allocated to Petrolina residents who can prove they have lived in the municipality for at least 12 months. In total, 20 photographs will be awarded, and each winner will receive R$2,000. In addition to the cash prize, the works will be part of an exhibition. At the end of the exhibition, the images will form part of the municipal public collection. To participate, you must present your ID or CNH, proof of bank account and a descriptive document in PDF (Arial font, size 12 and 1.5 spacing). The document must have a maximum of one page and explain the relationship between the image presented and the theme. The photograph must be sent in digital format (JPEG or JPG), with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi and a maximum size of 10 MB. The minimum dimensions required are 3543 x 2362 pixels, in proportions 60x40 or 40x60. Photographers domiciled in Petrolina must present two proofs of residence in their own name (water, energy, internet bill, etc.): one current, up to 90 days old, and the other retroactive to 12 months (between August and September 2026). If the document is not in the candidate's name, it is also necessary to present a rental contract. Candidates who do not live in the city must only send proof of residence issued no more than 90 days before the date of publication of the notice.
