PF investigates leak scheme of confidential judicial information that benefited criminals in Pará. Kevin Horvart/Unplash An operation to combat organized crime carried out, on Wednesday (15), preventive arrest and search and seizure warrants in Pará. Two people were arrested. The action, called the second phase of Operation Custos Legis, was launched by the Integrated Force to Combat Organized Crime of Pará (Ficco/PA) and targets a scheme to leak confidential judicial information that benefited criminals. The court orders were carried out at addresses located in the municipalities of Belém and Capanema, in the northeast of Pará. How the scheme worked According to the task force's investigations, the suspects obtained documents and details about ongoing precautionary measures that were supposed to be carried out under judicial secrecy. This information involved investigations against members of criminal organizations operating in the state. To gain access to confidential data, the group bribed a public official. The server used credentials and institutional access to consult and download confidential processes that were being processed both in the first instance and in the second instance of the Court of Justice. The police also identified a loophole in the system. Some of the legal actions improperly consulted had an incorrect confidentiality classification in the system, which facilitated access and extraction of data by public servants, according to investigations. Investigation and crimes investigated The warrants were issued by the Court of Guarantee Judge of the Metropolitan Region of Belém, following the request formalized by Ficco/PA. The investigation investigates crimes that occurred between the months of November and December 2025. Among the main crimes investigated are: Qualified breach of functional secrecy Increased passive corruption FICCO/PA, responsible for the operation, is a public security task force that brings together efforts from different security bodies. The composition includes the joint actions of the Federal Police (PF), the Civil Police of Pará (PCPA) and the State Secretariat for Penitentiary Administration (Seap). According to the PF, the focus of the integrated force is to decentralize and intensify the fight against criminal factions and organizations in Pará territory through intelligence actions.
