SÃO PAULO, SP (FOLHAPRESS) - Jamal Musiala fainted during Bayern's friendly against Heidenheim, held at the Voith-Arena, in Heidenheim, this Tuesday (18). The 23-year-old midfielder entered the field in the second half, played for just six minutes and felt ill.

A similar episode had already occurred last Saturday (15), in a match against RB Leipzig, played in intense heat in Munich. After the duel with Heidenheim - won by Bayern 4-2 -, the athlete stated that he had a manageable neurological problem.

"I have brief, temporary episodes of absence, which are easily treatable and caused by a neurological dysfunction. This can lead to situations like the ones that occurred recently. I know at first glance they may seem scary, but for me, they are currently just part of my daily life," he said.

"It is important to emphasize that there is no other risk to my health. In close coordination and constant dialogue with the specialists, it was my personal desire to face this challenge and, with the release from the neurologists, to continue dedicating myself to what helps me most in recovery: simply living my life normally and continuing to practice my passion, which is playing football", he added.

Musiala missed the first six months of last season due to a broken ankle suffered at the Club World Cup. He returned in the second half of the campaign and played for Germany at this year's World Cup.
