Volunteers from the interior of the State can donate blood at the 15 Collection and Transfusion Units distributed throughout Mato Grosso, in the cities of Água Boa, Alta Floresta, Barra do Bugres, Barra do Garças, Cáceres, Colíder, Juara, Juína, Porto Alegre do Norte, Primavera do Leste, Rondonópolis, Tangará da Serra, Sinop, Sorriso and Várzea Grande.
Who can donate?
Anyone who wants to donate blood must present an official document with a photo, weigh 50 kg or more, be in good health and have eaten a balanced meal. The donor must be well fed and cannot be fasting.
People aged between 16 and 69 years, 11 months and 29 days can donate. Anyone aged between 60 and 69 will only be able to donate blood if they have already donated before the age of 60. Teenagers aged 16 and 17 must have authorization from their parents or legal guardian to make a donation.
In a 12-month period, men can donate up to four times and women, up to three times. Up to 450 mL of blood is collected per donation, and it is recommended to avoid physical exercise and alcohol consumption after donation.
