With a maximum grade (5) by the Ministry of Education (MEC) and performance in ENAMED above the regional average, the course brings together a training proposal that integrates practice, science, technology and close monitoring of the student from the beginning of graduation. One of the main differences is the practical insertion from the first semester. Students have contact with real scenarios of the Unified Health System (SUS), while the competency-oriented curriculum uses active methodologies, integration between basic and clinical knowledge and activities in small groups. The available structure expands this experience. Training takes place on the UniMAX campus, at the Centro Escola de Especialidades Médicas (CEEM) and at Hospital Augusto de Oliveira Camargo (HAOC), the institution's Teaching Hospital. The course also has a Realistic Simulation Center, high-fidelity simulators, high-tech laboratories, spaces for developing clinical skills and resources related to robotic surgery. Another difference is the technology applied to teaching. His career brings together experience in Medicine, Public Health and medical education, areas directly related to the course's pedagogical proposal. Scientific research is also part of the training. UniMAX Medicine has lines of research approved by the CNPq in areas such as regenerative medicine, health education and neurosciences, bringing students closer not only to clinical practice, but also to scientific production and transformations in Medicine. This integration between teaching, research and innovation is also reinforced by the institution's academic leadership. The rector of UniMAX, Prof. Dr. Nuno Sousa, is a doctor, neuroscientist and full professor, with an international academic and scientific trajectory and work in Medical Education. UniMAX Medicine graduates have already been approved in medical residency programs at leading institutions, such as USP, UNESP and Hospital Alemão Oswaldo Cruz. For admission in the first semester of 2027, 80 places are offered: 50 through the selection process with an in-person test and 30 through the use of the ENEM score.
