The deadline for registering candidacies at the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) ends this Saturday (15). The new survey captured voting intentions on the eve of the official start of the electoral campaign, which begins this Sunday (16). The deadline for registering candidacies at the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) ends this Saturday (15).
In the previous survey carried out by Genial/Quaest, published on August 5, the PT member scored 44% in the second round, against 39% for Flávio - a difference of 5 points, against 3 in the current survey. The first round scenario remained stable compared to past research.
The institute interviewed 2,004 voters in person across the country, from August 10th to 13th. The margin of error is two percentage points, plus or minus, with a 95% confidence level. The survey is registered with the TSE under protocol BR-06773/2026 and was contracted by Globo.
FIRST ROUND
In the scenario stimulated for the first round, Lula leads the race with 38%, followed by Flávio Bolsonaro, who registers 31%.
Next, Ronaldo Caiado (PSD) and Renan Santos (Missão) tied with 4% each, followed by Romeu Zema (Novo) and Augusto Cury (Avante), with 2%. Samara Martins (UP) has 1%. The other names tested did not score. Undecided voters account for 10%. Those who intend to vote blank, cancel or would not vote reach 8%.
SECOND SHIFT
In the second round, Lula has 43%, against Flávio's 40%. The PT member would defeat Caiado by 44% to 37%, beat Zema by 45% to 34% and surpass Renan by 44% to 36%.
In the direct clash against Flávio Bolsonaro, the main scenario tested, those undecided are 4%, while whites, nulls and abstentions represent 13%. Government assessment
The positive perception of Lula's administration is tied with the negative evaluation, at 36% and 37%, respectively. Those who consider the government to be regular are 25%. The portion that did not know or did not respond was 2%.
The approval rate for the president's work was 46%, and disapproval was 48%. It is considered a draw, as the margin of error is 2 percentage points, both for plus and minus.
53% believe that Brazil is heading in the wrong direction, against 38% who believe that the country is heading in the right direction.
The Bolsonaro family's return to power is a source of fear for 45% of voters interviewed in the survey. For 41%, the fear is that there will be another Lula term; 6% fear both scenarios, and 3% fear neither.
REJECTION
Flávio Bolsonaro is rejected by 54% of those interviewed. Next comes the president, with 52%, Caiado, with 35%, Zema, with 34%, and Renan Santos, with 21%.
According to the survey, 19% reject the name of Rui Costa Pimenta (PCO), 16% the doctor Augusto Cury, 11% the UP candidate, Samara Martins, and 10% the PCB candidate, Edmilson Costa. Hertz Dias (PSTU), Leonardo Avalanche (PRTB) and Wilson Grassi (Democrat) are rejected by 9% of voters. Clariana Barão (DC) appears with 6% rejection.
