AL court grants freedom to father suspected of spending R$113,000 campaigning for his son’s treatment

He was released after the defense claimed that the preventive detention had been justified in a general way and that his release did not pose a risk to public order or the investigation of the case. According to the decision of judge Paula de Goes Brito Pontes, from the Murici Single Office Court, the person being investigated must comply with precautionary measures, including: Appear in court on the dates set by the Court; Do not leave the district for more than eight days without prior judicial authorization; Sign up and participate in the Gamblers Anonymous (J.A.) group for at least four months, being able to attend meetings virtually, as long as you can prove to the Court your frequency and effective participation. Investigation Noah Gabriel lost his limbs after suffering complications at the end of 2025. Personal file The Civil Police became aware of the case after Noah Gabriel's mother filed a police report on January 13, when she realized that the money collected was no longer available. The problem came to light at a time when she needed to pay for an already scheduled trip to São Paulo, where her son will receive prosthetics. After analyzing the bank account, it was found that practically the entire amount of R$113,000 had been spent by the person under investigation on virtual betting, with approximately R$300 remaining in the account intended for treatment.
