According to the commander, Diego Molina, it was parked irregularly. The video began to circulate on social media only this Friday (14). In a statement, the defense of the man suspected of committing the attack reported that the woman started the conflict with insults, swearing and damage to the car's bodywork (see full text below). When contacted, the Civil Police reported that a detailed term had been registered - a simplified police record for light crimes with less offensive potential. The elderly woman has not yet been interviewed by authorities. Argument started over a car on the sidewalk In the images recorded by a security camera, it is possible to see the following: The elderly woman argues with the driver of the vehicle. She then kicks the back door of the car twice. The two occupants exit the vehicle and the argument continues. The elderly woman then appears, making a call on her cell phone, at which point the passenger approaches and pushes her. She falls and is then supported by people passing by. The Municipal Guard was called and provided first care to the victim, who was still lying on the ground. To the police, the suspect claimed that the lady had kicked and damaged the vehicle. Despite the impact, the woman did not need to call an ambulance. All those involved were taken to the Civil Police Station to record the incident. Elderly woman kicks R$300,000 luxury car and is pushed by passenger in SC Personal file Municipal Guard says the car was parked in an irregular location According to Diego Molina, commander of the São José Municipal Guard, the car was parked illegally, as it did not respect the distance necessary to keep the sidewalk free for pedestrians. "The size of the space does not accommodate the size of the vehicle", highlighted Molina. What the defense says When contacted by g1, the defense reported that the young man only used his father's car to make a "quick delivery of work products". The defense maintains that there was enough space in the space behind the vehicle for the safe circulation of pedestrians and that the elderly woman started the conflict with insults, swearing and damage to the car's bodywork. "The video makes it clear what happened. Witnesses will also be interviewed to confirm my client's version. When the police authority preliminarily assessed the case, it understood that it was not a case of arrest in the act nor of an immediate charge for a crime, precisely because the version provided was corroborated by the video attached to the procedure", stated the defense.
