The photographer and digital influencer works as a freelancer and, in search of better work opportunities, moved to São Paulo in July. It was during the screening before the laser session that would take place this Tuesday that biomedical scientist Giancarlo Pincelli, responsible for removing the tattoos, decided to send him for tests. "I started to ask about his health problem, how he was doing. I thought, I'm going to do an ultrasound on him. Then I called a friend, a radiologist, a specialist in ultrasound", explains Pincelli. The imaging test showed the tumor in the bladder. According to him, the tumor measures approximately 6 centimeters by 5 centimeters. The next steps include follow-up with specialists in urology and oncology. Experts rule out any relationship between tattoo removal and the appearance of the tumor. “I asked the doctor several key questions and he said he had nothing to do with the tattoo removal process, which has been here for a long time,” says Pincelli. Speaking on social media this Tuesday, Leandro said that previous tests had not identified the problem, which would have only led to the prescription of medication to control the symptoms. In the video, he also described symptoms that he had been experiencing for some time, such as the frequent need to urinate, including at night, as well as episodes of urinary incontinence and the presence of blood in the urine. Upon announcing the diagnosis, he asked for prayers and financial help to pay for the treatment. Despite the discovery, Leandro stated that he maintains hope for recovery and said he believes he will be able to overcome the disease with the support of his family, followers and health professionals who will accompany him.
