In a statement, the Fire Department reported that the minibus, from Viação Piracicabana, hit the electric bicycle close to the Light Rail Vehicle (VLT) line. With the impact, the victim was thrown and fell onto the tracks. According to the corporation, he was unconscious and was not wearing a helmet, just a cap. The bus driver remained at the scene until help arrived. The case was registered as manslaughter while driving a motor vehicle at the Santos Judicial Police Center (CPJ).
