Man arrested on suspicion of planning and participating in the kidnapping of his own brother in Itatinga

Civil police officers, including those from the police station's General Investigations Sector (SIG), participated in the efforts that located the victim in the rehabilitation clinic. The suspect's brother is now safe and with his family, according to the corporation. Taken at dawn After the rescue, the victim reported to the Civil Police that he heard loud banging on the gate and the dog barking at around 1 am. Three men, who were in the house's backyard, announced that they had been sent by the victim's brother and insisted that the house owner leave the property. When they refused, they would have kicked the door until it was broken down. The victim also told police that he had picked up a kitchen knife to protect himself. The suspect's brother ended up giving in to the invaders' statements and agreed to accompany the group, under the argument that he would be taken for medical examinations and then return. The kidnapped man said he was placed in a silver vehicle and transported to the clinic in Sorocaba. During the journey, he would have managed to send messages and audios to family members saying that he had been taken from home against his will, in addition to indicating his own location. The coordinator of the rehabilitation clinic told the police that the victim arrived at the scene around 3 am and remained in a room until the police arrived. Case remains under investigation Preliminary investigations showed that the man arrested for the kidnapping had made prior contact with the clinic to facilitate hospitalization, including making payments for the restraint and transportation of the victim, in addition to the first monthly payment. So far, as the police pointed out, the investigation indicates that the victim's removal from the home occurred as part of the measures adopted for admission to the clinic. The victim's brother was indicted for the crimes of kidnapping, false imprisonment and home invasion. The prisoner was taken to the Botucatu Custody Center, where he remains at the disposal of the Court awaiting a custody hearing. The Civil Police requested the preventive arrest of the suspect and investigations continue. The men who allegedly broke into the house and transported the victim have not yet been identified.
