'GTA 6': Court authorizes company to subpoena Microsoft and Discord over leaks

Watch the trailer for 'GTA 6' Take-Two Interactive, owner of Rockstar Games, obtained authorization from the US Court this Friday (21) to subpoena Microsoft and Discord to provide information about the leak of images from "Grand Theft Auto 6" (GTA 6). According to AFP, two federal judges in New York authorized the requests. Companies will have until September 4th to respond to requests. The request came after a group of hackers, called CyberLeek, released several videos this week that would be of the gameplay of "GTA 6". The videos were published on several websites, removed and reappeared at new addresses on the internet. The game is scheduled to arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X consoles on November 19th. Subpoena request According to AFP, in order to obtain court orders, the American company Take-Two told the court that the videos published online reproduce material to which it holds copyright, something that it had not publicly confirmed. Take-Two demands to receive information to identify three accounts suspected of being behind the leak, as well as data from all members of three virtual forums where the material circulated. According to the subpoena directed to Microsoft, part of the leaked content was posted on the GitHub developer platform, which belongs to the company. The request sent to Discord indicates that the material would have been shared on a server on the platform, through different user accounts. GTA VI promotional image. Rockstar and Take-Two have not commented on the leaks, which continued this Friday with a new video that showed a character from the game stealing a sports car.
