The project by the mayor of Várzea Grande, Flávia Moretti (PL), which creates a direct agreement for the payment of court orders, will not move forward with the text originally sent by the Executive. After receiving a contrary opinion from the Constitution and Justice Commission (CCJ), the proposal was left off the agenda of this Tuesday's session (18.08) and will be the subject of a full replacement, drawn up based on discussions with the Court of Justice of Mato Grosso (TJMT) and the State Court of Auditors (TCE-MT).

The information was confirmed this Monday (17), by the president of the CCJ, councilor Alessandro Moreira (MDB), after being questioned by the report about the absence of the matter on the Agenda.

“This project is being discussed with the Court of Justice, that is, a full replacement will be made to the project, in accordance with the Court of Justice and TCE”, stated Moreira.

Last week, the president of the CCJ had already informed that the commission issued an opinion contrary to the project presented by the Moretti administration, given the need for legal adjustments to the text.

Therefore, instead of putting the original proposal to a vote, the Chamber must wait for the replacement to be constructed. In practice, the new text should fully replace the version initially sent by City Hall.

While the precatório project remains off the agenda, four other proposals are scheduled for a single vote in this Tuesday's ordinary session.

Two are authored by the Executive. Complementary Bill No. 017/2026 amends Complementary Law No. 4,701/2021 and revokes provisions related to the designed roads, their layouts and other references to the Várzea Grande road system.

Bill No. 153/2026 intends to revoke article 35 of Municipal Law No. 4,697/2021, which deals with the subdivision of urban land.

Also on the agenda are PL No. 060/2026, by councilor Gisele Aparecida de Barros, which provides for the implementation of screening offices in UPAs to care for patients classified as mild cases, and PL No. 077/2026, by councilor Wender Silva Campos Madureira dos Santos, which establishes educational activities on the rights of domestic animals in public and private schools in the municipality.

The Order of the Day was signed by the President of the Chamber, Wanderley Cerqueira, and the First Secretary, Rosemary Souza Prado, on August 14th.
