Technical inspections were carried out based on consumption analyses, complaints and signs of operational anomalies, resulting in the identification of 937 irregularities. The actions carried out allowed the recovery of more than 415 thousand liters of water. One of the most relevant cases was identified in a guesthouse located in the Geribá neighborhood, in Armação dos Búzios. Upon discovering the fraud, the Civil Police were called to carry out the investigation and take the appropriate measures. In addition to the irregularity, the unit had outstanding debts with the concessionaire. Inspections are carried out continuously to identify these irregularities and ensure that water reaches quality water to all residents of our concession area", he highlighted. In addition to being a crime provided for in Article 155 of the Penal Code, irregularities also increase the risk of water contamination and favor the occurrence of leaks that can compromise the infrastructure of the supply system.
