The investigation into the disappearance and murder of the employee ended up leading the Civil Police to identify suspected embezzlement of money from the entity. The criminal case investigates the embezzlement of around R$7 million from Apae de Bauru. The action, filed by the Special Action Group for the Repression of Organized Crime of São Paulo (Gaeco), calls for the conviction of the members of the scheme. In addition to embezzlement, money laundering and criminal association, the Public Ministry asks that the defendants be ordered to pay R$10 million to the entity as compensation for the damage caused. In total, 13 defendants respond to the case: Leticia da Rocha Prado Lobo, daughter of Claudia Lobo; Ellen Souza; Renato Golino; Gisele Aparecida Tavares; Diamantino Passos; Isabel Cristina; Persio of Jesus; Maria Lúcia Miranda; Felipe Figueiredo; Fernando Sheridan Rocha Roreira; Gabriel Gomes da Rocha Rodrigues; Renato Tadeu de Campos; Roberto Franceschetti. Nine of the accused were arrested preventively at the end of 2024, but were released throughout that year. The case is also the subject of a civil action for administrative improbity, which is being processed in parallel to the criminal case. Roberto Franceschetti Filho has already been sentenced to 22 years and six months in prison for Cláudia's murder. Franceschetti remains imprisoned in Guarulhos and, this Tuesday, was taken under escort to the Bauru Forum to participate in the hearing of the process that investigates the deviations in the entity.
