Santos VLT stations gain automatic doors; free of charge is maintained until the end of the works

The completion of services between the Conselheiro Nébias and Valongo stations is scheduled for the second half of 2026, according to BR Mobilidade. The interventions take place at the 12 stations of the second phase of the VLT, opened in December 2025, on a route of around 8 km that passes through points such as the Municipal Market, Poupatempo, universities and the Valongo Terminal. ?Click here to follow the g1 Santos channel on WhatsApp. According to BR Mobilidade, during the installations, passengers remain exempt from the R$5.60 fare at any station along the route. Charging has been suspended since May, when the operation began operating at full hours, from 5:50 am to midnight. The concessionaire reported that the works schedule is being adhered to and reinforced its commitment to the quality and safety of the services provided.
