Detained duo says they were hired for R$5,000 to take stolen car from the interior of SP to Paraguay

Stolen car recovered on Capivari highway on the way to Paraguay Disclosure/City Hall of Capivari The Civil Guard recovered, on the afternoon of this Wednesday (12), a vehicle stolen from a house in Limeira (SP) which, according to the incident, was being taken to Paraguay. Two men, aged 22 and 28, were arrested on Rodovia Jornalista Francisco Aguirre Proença (SP-101), in Capivari (SP). The duo said that they were hired to take the vehicle to the neighboring country and that they would receive R$5,000 each for the transport. No illicit objects were found with the two during the approach. According to City Hall, the approach occurred at around 4:15 pm, at km 50. The team was informed that a gray Fiat Titano, reported stolen, had accessed SP-101 towards Tietê. The incident was forwarded to the Capivari Police District, where a report was registered for reception. The two suspects remained at the disposal of Justice. Car was returned to owner.
