From pioneer to reference: Vectra celebrates 30 years

Three decades ago, London civil engineer Manoel Luiz Alves Nunes started a business alone in a room of approximately 100 m² in Shopping Quadra Sul. In June 1996, he had no idea that, 30 years later, Vectra, today installed in its own headquarters of approximately 7 thousand m² with a team of 260 direct employees, would be among the 40 largest construction companies in Brazil and the six largest in Paraná. Throughout this trajectory, the company has accumulated 73 projects, including delivered, under construction and launched in seven cities in the state and two in Mato Grosso do Sul. The story began with horizontal subdivisions, a segment in which Nunes specialized at the beginning of his career. It was during this period that he launched a concept that became popular in the country, that of concentrating leisure and sports areas close to the guardhouse, avoiding the circulation of visitors inside the condominiums. Recanto do Salto, Vale das Araucárias, Santana Residence and Vale do Arvoredo bear the construction company's signature. The company also participated in the opening of new neighborhoods in Londrina, such as Jardim Alto do Cafezal, and more recently Gleba Esperança and Reserva Saltinho. Another milestone was the transformation of Nova Prochet, which established itself as one of the most valued regions in the city, attracting new businesses and services without losing features such as green areas and mobility. Five years ago, the developer launched its first high-end development in Nova Prochet, Wonder, delivered in 2025. For 2026, the Wynn, the first smart building in Londrina, and Oro, which will have an indoor clay tennis court, are scheduled to be delivered. In addition to them, six other buildings are under construction in the neighborhood: Gaia, Hera, Zahra, Lótus, Oscar and Lina. Urban kindness Urban kindness is one of the characteristics present in the construction company's projects. At Nova Prochet, the company invested in a local identity project signed by the iO Paisagismo office. Sidewalk pagination inspired by the Calçadão de Londrina, lighting, accessibility and standardized urban furniture can now be seen in the projects delivered in the region and in the luxurious Wave, on Avenida Adhemar Pereira de Barros. The concept is also present in the English mini-neighborhood developed by the developer at Gleba Palhano. The London Hills line brings together six buildings - Cambridge, Chelsea, Kensington, Oxford, Queen’s Park and Uptown - in one of the most valued areas of the neighborhood. The last tower in the series, Notting Hill, will soon be launched, with 23 floors and apartments with three suites. With architecture inspired by English buildings, the complex was planned to guarantee views and privacy for residents. Two common areas located on the corners reinforce the proposal for urban integration, with benches and a clock that resembles Big Ben. The future under construction Vectra's planning also included leadership succession. In recent years, the company has structured a gradual transition between generations, combining the founder's experience with a vision focused on the challenges of the coming years. "We make good products and that makes us proud. We have a number of very satisfied customers and we go to great lengths to improve every day", says Nunes. Even after three decades at the helm of the business, he continues to participate in the conception and feasibility of projects, in addition to contributing with his experience on construction sites. For some years now, he has shared leadership of the company with his eldest daughter, Roberta Costa Alves Nunes Mansano, executive director responsible for the governance and management of the developer. "I grew up following my father's dedication and passion for Vectra. Being part of running the company and helping to write the next chapters of this story is a source of great pride and gratitude", he says. Among the next steps are the expansion to a new city in Paraná and the development of the first high-end neighborhood in Londrina, in the Jardim Botânico region. The project foresees 15 towers of up to 35 floors and an integrated proposal for architecture, landscaping, urban art and sustainability. "It will be the first neighborhood in Londrina designed based on this integration between different disciplines. A pioneering project, designed to transform the region into a reference in contemporary urbanism", he highlights.
