With colonel and former first lady, Margareth Buzetti forms the only female candidate for the Senate in Mato Grosso

Jucélia was secretary of Social Assistance and first lady of Sorriso, in addition to having presided over the State Board of Municipal Social Assistance Managers of Mato Grosso (Coegemas-MT) for two terms. Colonel Grasi has almost three decades of experience in the Military Police, was the first woman to occupy the Deputy Chief of Staff of the PMMT and held the position of Secretary of State for Social Assistance and Citizenship.

More than a landmark of representation, the composition brings together complementary trajectories and was created to continue and expand work that has already produced concrete results in the Federal Senate.

Legislative and business activity

Margareth has a recognized role in protecting women, children and people in vulnerable situations, with four projects of her authorship transformed into laws.

Among them is Law No. 14,994/2024, originated in the Anti-Feminicide Package, which made feminicide an independent crime, increased its penalty to up to 40 years in prison and toughened the punishment for other crimes committed against women.

He also authored Law No. 15,035/2024, which created the National Registry of Pedophiles and Sexual Predators and allowed public consultation of information on those convicted of crimes against sexual dignity.

Law No. 15,171/2025 expanded access to breast repair plastic surgery through the SUS and health plans, guaranteeing the procedure to women who suffered total or partial mutilation for different causes, and not just as a result of cancer treatment.

Law No. 15,280/2025 reinforced the fight against sexual crimes committed against children, adolescents, people with disabilities and other vulnerable victims. The rule increased sentences, created urgent protective measures, established electronic monitoring of convicts and ensured psychological and social assistance to victims and their families.

Margareth also participated in the approval of Law No. 14,443/2022, which removed the requirement for authorization from the husband or partner to perform tubal ligation, reduced the minimum age for the procedure from 25 to 21 years old and allowed it to be carried out during childbirth, subject to the conditions set out in the legislation.

His political activity is accompanied by a trajectory of more than three decades in the productive sector. Daughter of a mechanic and married to a tire retreader, Margareth built her career in a historically male industrial segment. He became a national leader in the tire retreading sector and became president of the Brazilian Tire Retreading Association.

This experience guides his defense of economic freedom, the reduction of bureaucracy, the valorization of industry and the generation of jobs and income. For Margareth, social protection needs to be associated with professional qualification and the creation of opportunities that allow people to gain autonomy.

Social assistance and defense of municipalities

First substitute, Jucélia Ferro has experience in implementing and articulating social assistance policies. For approximately eight years leading the area in Sorriso, he worked to protect women, children, adolescents and the elderly, in addition to developing food security, social housing, professional qualification and preparation for the job market.

During this period, he participated in the implementation of the Unified Network for the Protection of Children, Adolescents, Women and the Elderly. The initiative integrated City Hall, the Judiciary, Public Prosecutor's Office, police, health, education, social assistance and rights councils to organize assistance to victims.

As president of Coegemas-MT, Jucélia represented the social assistance managers of the 141 municipalities and worked to strengthen the Unified Social Assistance System, the regularity of transfers, the training of teams and the expansion of dialogue between the municipalities, the State and the Union.

Public security and state management

Second substitute, Colonel Grasi has worked for almost three decades in the Military Police of Mato Grosso. Throughout his career, he commanded operational units, participated in the training of police officers and performed strategic functions in the State security structure.

His experience covers operations planning, combating crime, team management and integration of security forces.

As Secretary of State for Social Assistance and Citizenship, Coronel Grasi also worked to protect women victims of violence, professional qualification, socio-productive inclusion and assistance to vulnerable families. His trajectory combines knowledge of public security with experience in reception, citizenship and autonomy policies.

The proposal foresees the effective participation of the three members throughout the term, with the possibility of Jucélia Ferro and Coronel Grasi assuming the senatorship in planned periods. The intention is to preserve the continuity of the work and directly incorporate the experiences accumulated by each person into the mandate.

The action will be organized into five axes:

1. Protection of women and children: improving laws, strengthening care networks, holding aggressors accountable and supporting the autonomy of victims.

2. Public security: valorization and integration of security forces, combating organized crime and preventing violence.

3. Work, income and economic freedom: reduction of bureaucracy, encouragement of entrepreneurship and support for professional qualification and productive sectors.

4. Care for the most vulnerable: strengthening social assistance and policies aimed at children, the elderly, people with disabilities and families in vulnerable situations
