According to the PM, all five victims were released without injuries and are doing well. No objects or belongings of the victims were stolen during the criminal action. The incident, initially reported as a home invasion, was registered with more serious charges after the case was presented to the Civil Police. The group was charged with the crimes of: Attempted robbery; Private prison; Criminal association; Corruption of minors (applied to the three adults in the group). The two apprehended teenagers were sent to the Specialized Division for Adolescent Assistance (DATA), where the appropriate procedures provided for by the Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA) will be carried out. The three adults remain at the disposal of the Justice Department in Cidade Nova. The Civil Police reported that the case is still being investigated and that witnesses and victims are being interviewed to detail the dynamics of the invasion and the private prison.
