Cyclist rescues goat covered in mud and shivering from the cold during training in SC A cyclist went viral on social media after filming the rescue of a baby goat during training in Indaial, in Vale do Itajaí, in Santa Catarina. Gustavo Antunes was traveling through a mountainous region, on Tuesday (14), when he began to hear a kind of crying. When following the sound, he is surprised to find the animal alone, covered in mud and shivering from the cold. In the video, which had more than 7 million views as of Wednesday afternoon (15), he picks up the goat on his lap and starts talking to it (watch above). "What do I do with you, man? Freezing to death. I'm all covered in mud now and so are you, right? I'll take you home", he said. ?Click and follow the g1 SC channel on WhatsApp To g1, Gustavo said that he does the route frequently, as the region has steep climbs ideal for some types of training, but he had never encountered an animal like this. "Climbing the hill, I heard her crying, but I stopped and spent a few minutes trying to find her, until I found her inside the bush, trying to cross huge erosion due to the rain", he reported. Initially, he went down to the nearest house and left it with a housekeeper. She commented that the goat had probably been rejected by its mother. "But as soon as I got home, I realized that it would be better to pick her up to actually get the necessary care she needs," he commented. So, he took the car and returned to the address prepared to pick her up. The rescued animal spent the night in Gustavo's apartment and was given a bottle of goat's milk, as well as lots of laps and affection. He doesn't have a name yet. Now, it's in a place where it has space to run and play. Goats tend to be docile and, when adults, weigh between 45 and 70 kilos. "She spent the night with us and is doing really well. She slept with me in bed and we took her to the farm in the morning", he said.
