Heavy rain and risk of storms put RS on alert; see the weather forecast

Wednesday (12) will have heavy rain, risk of storms and the possibility of high accumulations in Rio Grande do Sul, while the south of Santa Catarina is also in a dangerous situation. According to Climatempo, a new area of ??instability is gaining strength over the south of the country and causing moderate to heavy rain from early on.

In the Southeast, the cold begins to lose strength with the change in wind circulation. In the Central-West, the weather remains dry and hot, with humidity between 12% and 20% in some areas. In the Northeast, the highlight is the more organized rain between Bahia and Sergipe, while the North maintains showers associated with heat and humidity.

South Region

A new area of instability gains strength mainly over Rio Grande do Sul, with moderate to heavy rain, thunderstorms and the risk of isolated thunderstorms early in the morning and throughout the day.

There is a chance of high accumulations in the west, central and northeast regions of Rio Grande do Sul, and in the south of Santa Catarina the situation is also dangerous, with storms and heavy rain.

In Santa Catarina, instability also affects the south of the state.

In other areas of the South Region, the weather remains firm.

Temperatures become more pleasant and mild in Rio Grande do Sul, the eastern half of Santa Catarina and Paraná and the coast of Paraná, while in the west and northwest of Paraná and in the west of Santa Catarina the thermometers rise more.

Southeast Region

The circulation associated with high pressure favors southeasterly winds and maintains the infiltration of cold, moist air into the ocean.

Relative air humidity remains low during the hottest hours in Goiás, Distrito Federal, a large part of Mato Grosso do Sul and Mato Grosso, mainly in the east and interior of Mato Grosso, with rates between 12% and 20%.

In the northwest and west of Mato Grosso, the circulation of low-level humidity coming from the North Region, combined with daytime heating, favors isolated rain showers, more intense in the northwest of the state.

Northeast Region

Wednesday requires attention between Salvador and the north coast of Bahia, where the frontal system in the Atlantic favors greater convergence of humidity and more organized rain, in addition to the northeast of Bahia.

On the coastal strip between Rio Grande do Norte and Sergipe, it rains moderately to heavily, as well as on the northern strip and coast of Maranhão.

There is a risk of storms between Salvador and the coast of Sergipe.

Inside, the weather remains firm, with heat and low humidity.

North Region

The instability continues in the south, east, northwest and central region of Amazonas, with moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms, in addition to the north of Rondônia, Roraima, Amapá, the coast and northeast of Pará, where there is also moderate to heavy rain.

In the west of Acre, the rain is light.

In other areas, firm weather predominates.

Temperatures remain high in the afternoon, the weather remains muggy and humidity remains low in Tocantins, with rates between 20% and 30%.
