Hundreds of drummers transform Florianópolis into a great orchestra Hundreds of drummers played together this Sunday (16), in Florianópolis, in the 13th edition of the Florianópolis Drum Orchestra. The meeting brought together around 250 musicians of different generations and styles, between 1 and 78 years old (watch above). The orchestra occupied Largo da Catedral Metropolitana with artists from Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, Distrito Federal, Ceará and Mato Grosso do Sul. In 2019, it brought together more than 600 drummers playing simultaneously and became considered the largest drum orchestra in the Americas.
