According to G1, which cites information from the artist's family, Lucas died in Portugal. He was in the apartment where he lived and suffered a heart attack in the early hours of the morning. The singer would perform in Esposende this Saturday, August 15th, and also had a show scheduled for August 21st, in the Azores.
After the news became public, several artists reacted and mourned the singer's death. "Rest in peace, friend", wrote Iran Costa in the comments box of the Espacial publication.
In turn, Zé Amaro left a white heart emoji. Telmo Miranda also reacted with two crying emojis to Lucas' death.

Lucas stood out in the world of music alongside his brother, Matheus, with the duo Lucas & Matheus. After the death of Matheus, who died in 2020, a victim of Covid-19, Lucas continued on stage alongside Matheus' son, Matheus Junior. At the time, the duo changed their name to Lucas & Matheus Junior.
