Caiado claims to be in favor of ending the 6x1 scale after calling PEC an 'electorist'

The statement was given during a press conference and contrasts with the position adopted by him days before, when he called the proposal "electoral". On Wednesday (19), during the 11th CNT Debate Forum, Caiado avoided supporting the Proposed Amendment to the Constitution (PEC) which foresees the reduction of working hours from 44 to 40 hours per week and the end of the 6x1 scale. At the time, he classified the text as "populist", "electoral" and "voting". This Saturday, when asked directly about the topic, he simply replied: "Yes, I'm in favor." The PEC on the 6x1 scale had been stalled in the Senate since May. Last week, the president of the House, Davi Alcolumbre (União Brasil-AP), announced that he will release the process and send the text to the Constitution and Justice Commission (CCJ), after conversations with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT). The Senate's expectation, however, is that the discussion will only progress after the elections. Criticism of 'runaways' During the agenda in Campinas, Caiado also criticized absent opponents, without mentioning Lula (PT) and Flávio Bolsonaro (PL), in electoral debates. The native of Goiás called his opponents "runaways" and said he was optimistic for the TV Band debate, scheduled for this Sunday (23). When asked about political polarization, he classified the scenario as a “useless fight”. He also criticized the Workers' Party (PT) governments and stated that the country "walked towards mediocrity" in recent years. Economy, public security and health In public security, Caiado said he wants to classify criminal factions into a classification that he called "domestic terrorism". He also defended the construction of 40 maximum security prisons and the use of artificial intelligence in security. "The use of artificial intelligence was one of the most important tools for Goiás to reach this level of resolution in relation to combating crime and even anticipating crimes that would happen", informs Caiado. The candidate also stated that he wants a police force integrated with neighboring countries to combat drug trafficking, weapons smuggling and money laundering. When addressing science and health, Caiado advocated that Brazil seek self-sufficiency in the production of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (IFA), used in medicines. He also spoke about expanding the use of genomic treatments and stated: "I am a doctor, I believe in science and I believe in the vaccine."
