Boldness became destiny. Rescued and taken to Manaus, the animal was adopted, received care, an official name and has already gained fans on social media. Now his name is: Garamelo Perrecheiro Monteverde Faria Paketá Nogueira Lins Assayag from downtown Xanda Amorim. The new family recorded Garamelo's birth date as June 24, the day on which Boi Garantido performs the Litany of Saint John the Baptist. The choice refers to the promise made by Lindolfo Monteverde, founder of the ox, to the saint. "The date of birth is a tribute to the ox. Garamelo had this change in life because of Garantido", said his tutor, Moab Sherlan Valente Amorim.
