In the video released this Friday, Sérgio once again criticized the daycare's conditions and stated that the lack of measures puts children's safety at risk.
"It is unacceptable to treat the children of Cuiabá the way they are being treated in this daycare center. There is a risk here: glass doors, rusty iron. Children come and go and have access to all of this. Here it is pure rubbish, there is a lack of attention. This here looks like an abandoned house. There must be an angel holding each child on their lap. We have a situation of people being abandoned", he said.
In the caption of the publication, the president of the TCE highlighted that, despite the charges made to the municipality after the first inspection, no improvements were found during the new inspection.
"78 days ago I inspected the José Nicolau Pinto Municipal Creche, in Cuiabá, and found an inhumane situation. The daycare looked like an abandoned property, with structural problems in the electrical network, bathrooms without doors, broken glass, cigarette butts and even snails that cause diseases and put children aged 1 to 3 at risk, as well as education professionals. We demanded urgent action from the city hall, which promised a move to a new location. Today, nothing has changed", he stated. Sergio.
The counselor also stated that, in recent days, he has received several complaints sent by students' mothers via social media. According to him, the messages report that the situation remains the same and question why the City Hall has not yet fulfilled its promise to transfer the unit to a suitable space.
"In recent days, I have received complaints via messages here on my Instagram from several mothers that to this day the situation remains the same. The reports ask: “why doesn't the mayor fulfill what he promises, especially when we are talking about children?”, he concluded.
