The drafting of state laws is the result of a process that begins with the presentation of a proposal, goes through analysis by committees, discussion in Plenary and voting. In the first half of 2026, this process resulted in the publication of 297 ordinary laws, in addition to 21 complementary laws, 892 resolutions, a constitutional amendment and four legislative decrees, consolidating measures aimed at different areas of public administration and the lives of the population of Mato Grosso.

The numbers reflect the performance of the Legislative Assembly in discussions on the main topics of interest to the State. Over the first six months of the year, the House of Laws analyzed proposals related to health, education, public security, infrastructure, economic development, social assistance, environment, citizenship and strengthening public institutions, among other issues that are part of the daily lives of Mato Grosso residents.

The balance prepared by the ALMT Legislative Services Secretariat shows that, during the semester, 45 ordinary sessions were held, in which 7,434 proposals passed through the Plenary, an average of approximately 166 matters per session. Among the matters presented are 975 bills, 54 complementary bills, 997 resolutions, three proposed amendments to the Constitution, seven legislative decree bills and 69 vetoes. 500 requests and 2,586 indications were also filed, instruments that bring Parliament closer to the demands of society, municipalities and public institutions.
