Reginaldo Alves Teixeira, who was responsible for the portfolio and also temporarily for Education, was appointed municipal secretary of Education, Culture, Sport and Leisure.

Management experience
A civil engineer, Edson Brasil has more than ten years of experience in public management, infrastructure projects and supervision of public works. Throughout his career, he worked at the Mato Grosso State Secretariat for Infrastructure and Logistics (Sinfra-MT), where he held superintendency and technical coordination roles, leading teams responsible for large-scale structural works and strategic projects for the State.
Graduated in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT) and in Law from the University of Cuiabá (UNIC), Edson also has an international master's degree in BIM Management for Infrastructure and specializations in Road Engineering, Engineering and Occupational Safety, Public Administration and Government Management.
Among the main works carried out are the technical coordination of the resumption of BRT works in Cuiabá, the management of works remaining from the World Cup, the conduction of paving and urban drainage projects, in addition to the resumption and completion of strategic projects, such as the Júlio Müller University Hospital and the Export Processing Zone (ZPE) of Cáceres. He also worked in the private sector in infrastructure projects and bridge construction, in addition to teaching the Civil Engineering course.
Throughout his professional career, he received recognition from Sinfra-MT for his contribution to the resumption of the Cuiabá BRT, for his leadership in infrastructure projects and for his role in the revitalization of the Júlio Müller University Hospital, consolidating a career focused on planning, supervision and delivery of public works.
