He was approached and, according to delegate Carlos Augusto Guimarães, he was wearing a ninja-style cap, a simulacrum of a firearm and bank cards that belonged to a victim of another robbery. According to the delegate, the victim recognized the man as the perpetrator of the crime. After his arrest, the Civil Police began investigating his possible participation in other robberies in Campos. The delegate asked that other people who have been victims of robberies and recognize the suspect contact the police station to carry out formal recognition. “I ask that victims of robberies, especially in the central region of Campos, who had their belongings taken by these suspects or possible accomplices, contact the police station to make a formal statement,” he said. According to the delegate, the police identified similarities between the man arrested this Tuesday and the suspect who appears in the images of the robbery. The motorcycle used in the crime would be identical to the one seized from the man. The police also pointed out physical similarities between the prisoner and the suspect recorded on the cameras. The sneakers worn by the arrested man would also be the same as those shown in the images. Despite the similarities, the man's participation in this robbery is still being investigated and depends on confirmation through the recognition of the victims. According to the delegate, the investigation is working with the possibility of a group that uses different motorcycles and removes the license plates from the vehicles to make identification difficult. According to the police, crimes tend to occur mainly in the early morning or late afternoon. The investigation continues, and other victims may be called to make formal recognition.
