The document points out that the species is not endemic to the region and that the introduction would have occurred accidentally, with the initial focus concentrated on a local timber company. At the school, Environmental Surveillance was called on August 12 after a notification about the reappearance of the animals. A team was at the unit the next day to apply a specific chemical product. With a new registration, the agents returned on the 18th and reinforced the pest control. This Wednesday (19), during a new inspection, Surveillance found that the recommended cleaning and sealing measures had been complied with by the school. Even so, during the scan, live and dead scorpions were found. The chemical blockage was directed to the external area of ??the unit. A new Environmental Surveillance inspection is scheduled for Friday (21), when monitoring will continue and new control measures may be adopted.
