Pindamonhangaba won second place overall in the 2026 Regional Games, reaffirming its strength on the state sports scene. The 68th edition of the competition was held in São José dos Campos and brought together 32 municipalities competing in different categories. Pindamonhangaba City Hall Disclosure With 315 points, Pindamonhangaba was second only to the host city, São José dos Campos, which scored 389 points. Guararema finished in third place, with 169 points. The difference of 146 points for third place highlights the consistency of the Pindamonhangabense campaign. Of the total achieved by the municipality, 244 points came from the free category competitions, 62 from the base categories and nine points from the parade. Throughout the competition, Pindamonhangaba won 14 first places, 14 second places and nine third places, with results in different modalities. Titles Pindamonhangaba came first in women's and men's athletics, women's basketball, men's cycling, women's and men's checkers, women's and men's futsal, women's and men's artistic gymnastics, women's handball, men's karate and women's and men's chess. Other highlights The city also won second place in men's basketball, women's cycling, women's rhythmic gymnastics, women's and men's judo, mesh, men's swimming, women's and men's taekwondo, women's tennis, women's and men's table tennis, men's volleyball and men's beach volleyball.
