The Veja Atibaia e Região Convention & Visitors Bureau (ARCVB) signed an institutional partnership agreement with Turismo Azul Inclusivo, an initiative aimed at promoting the inclusion of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other neurodivergences in tourism. The partnership aims to help Atibaia and the region to consolidate itself as an increasingly accessible, welcoming, safe and predictable destination for these people and their families. Luciano Leal (supporter), Gustavo Passinato (founder Turismo Azul) and Mônica Fontes (Atibaia and Region Convention & Visitors Bureau) Disclosure Turismo Azul Inclusivo works to train, raise awareness and certify hotels, accommodation facilities, tourist attractions, travel agencies, tour guides and other members of the tourist chain, preparing the entire ecosystem to receive atypical families with respect, empathy and adequate structure. In addition to team training, the project also develops sensory rooms and guides the adaptation of environments, providing calmer, more comfortable and inclusive experiences for neurodivergent people during their travels. Through this partnership, the Visit Atibaia e Região Convention & Visitors Bureau is also committed to encouraging and publicizing this initiative among other destinations and entities in the sector, helping to expand the adoption of good accessibility and inclusion practices throughout the country. With this alliance, ARCVB reaffirms its commitment to inclusion, diversity, innovation and social responsibility. "The partnership is institutional and reinforces the joint commitment to promoting more humane, accessible and prepared tourism to welcome all people", declared Mônica Fontes, from the Atibaia e Região Convention & Visitors Bureau.
